Ethical Enterprise Loans (Shariah compliant)
Ongoing research at Novartis Consulting shows that even in an economy as advanced as the U.K, there exists a significant minority that are financially excluded and economically deprived.  Typically they are unable to access business start-up loans from mainstream banks. In some cases, as with Muslims, this is because their faith precludes them from dealing in 'interest bearing finance'. In other cases they would have been judged to have a 'low credit score' by mainstream banks. Novartis Consulting are developing pilot project to be delivered in Spinney Hills Ward of Leicester City, U.K. The project will provide a package of innovative Shariah-compliant and non-interest financial instruments aimed at supporting this social group.  Further updates will be provided on these pages.
